Our Vision

Creating a levelled competitive ground for African youths through technology, education and access

Our Mission

Our Mission is to train and empower 300,000 African youth with technical skills and job opportunities that can reshape the future of Africa's development.

Who We Are

Started as the individual dream of our founder – Scott C Eneje as a way to give back to his community. This is as a result of his core belief, that you don’t have to have it all, you just have to have what to share and that passion has attracted like-minded individuals who also care about giving back and helping those around them with whatever insight, knowledge or experience they’ve gathered. As a project born from a dream, the academy was named “THE MORPHEUS ACADEMY”, with Morpheus being the Greek name for the god of dreams, and today, has evolved to be TM Academy. Expanded as a CSR project of Digital Evolutions LTD (Digivo). A company, also founded by Scott, to support and build the vision of the academy.

How We Operate

In the last two years since, we've conducted fully virtual programs for our student and community members with resources and class schedules that allows them to engage with coaches and their fellow student. Our actual training programs run quarterly with one extra month dedicated to projects and certifications. New cohorts are then started after a break period to allow the community focus on a development/next-phase program for the graduates of the previous programs. We run two cohorts annually and at the end of each program, split our students into teams of a complete product team with the goal to allow them bring their learning to life by developing a new product of their choosing from start to finish, allowing them utilise the skills they've learned while working with a team of randomly selected members to give them insight into working with teams and organisations.

At the end of each cohort, we run a graduation process and induct the student of the academy into the community of alumni. We also provide a reward system to keep the teams inspired as we select our best graduating students and rewarding them with laptops and the best graduating teams with cash reward for utilising the skills they've learned practically.

Why We Operate

It is not new to say that there is a high pay gap between peers within the tech space and those outside it. One of our goals is to help young Africans acquire skills that can help them improve their knowledge and earnings, which we believe would play a huge role in reducing the poverty scale within Africa. In our world today, even with access to a lot of resources, many struggle with motivation, accountability and a place to truly learn and ask questions. We created the academy to help people come together and have access to these things and learn from scratc without feeling out of place or lost to the world. It is also important that this is FREELY available which is why our programs are completely FREE and completely REMOTE, to reduce friction or difficulty in truly reaching those we truly seek to provide these programs for. We are driven by the belief that one can raise a thousand and two can raise tens of thousand, and this belief drives our every action.

We want to empower as many as we can so they also can give back value to those within their own community, expanding our own impact and spreading our belief. We know that a lot of these information are freely available on the internet, what we want to add is direction and experience for as many young people we interact with.

Meet Scott C Eneje - Founder

He has worked with several teams across the globe building products that shape Data, CX and innovative technology. He has helped several businesses bring their ideas to life, with website development, structural set up, product management, team training and advisor supports.

"It is rather painful that a lot of young adult across several African countries earn between $50 to $100 a month amid inflation and high cost of living and are still treated like they are being done a favour in jobs like that. We realised that if they knew better, they would want better and of course, desire to be better themselves. This is something that the technology industry is changing. TM Academy to set up to not only inform them of opportunities in tech as an industry, but to help them acquire the skills they need to move to the industry as well as access to jobs within the industry on the global market" - Scott C Eneje
